![]() Installed the chipset drivers (twice, as I read there is a bug where you have to install them twice to make sure everything was properly installed).Installed XP, installed EasyBCD to switch between the OS’s.I slipstreamed the sata drivers into a new XP iso using NLITE.Laptop has only 1 internal 7200rpm drive.The hp website does not have any XP drivers for this model laptop, but you can find various drivers for the components inside from various places.The downgrade process and more info before the Sandra report: I usually can figure things out (yes, I searched), but my brain hurts and I’m tired lol. ![]() After installing, tweaking, and scratching my head, I need your help. ![]() Mind you, this is only on playback of 1 mono track that I imported. The errors would happen more often using firewire on the external drive (and at any buffer settings), but seemed to only happen at the 64ms buffer if I used ESATA. It’s worse if I plug my external drive into the SIIG express card WITH my MBOX 2 PRO (firewire, of course), instead of just using ESATA. After attempting to get Pro Tools to work with Windows 7 64bit (with A LOT of time and no success), I decided to downgrade to XP (I’ll explain the downgrade process I did below).
